The Met Cloisters, a breathtaking branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval Europe. Perched high above the Hudson River in Fort Tryon Park, The Cloisters is a journey to another time.

The Cloisters is an experience—peaceful, immersive, and surprisingly transportive. Whether you’re a history lover, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a beautiful and contemplative outing with stunning views of the Hudson River and surrounding parkland and gardens.

Transportation: Carpool Encouraged

Exit for Fort Tyron Park/Cloisters right off Henry Hudson Parkway

Carpools meet at Waveny Park at 9:45 am.

Carpool cost is $10 cash for your driver (gas, tolls)


**Note:  If you prefer public transportation or if there are not enough carpool drivers, a train option will be provided


Cost: Museum Entrance and Tour: $36 for Seniors; $44 if not a Senior; $13 if Met Museum Member (must show membership card at entrance).


Cancellations: No cancellations unless someone joins from the waiting list.


Accessibility: For those who require step-free access to enter or while in museum it is somewhat limited due to the building’s landmark status.
