There is now an afternoon movie group called Matinee Movies that meets monthly on Wednesday afternoons at 2:00pm at Lapham Community Center  lounge. Please check the Encore website for the exact dates. Matinee Movies & Critics Corner watch and critique the same movies so please join us at the group that best suits your schedule.

The following two movies will be discussed and then rated:

"The Best Years of our Lives"

A 1946 American epic drama film. It depicts three United States servicemen returning from World War II era hardships and re-adjusting to societal changes and civilian life.

"Tuner"

A 2025 crime thriller that follows piano tuner Niki White with a

hearing condition that gives him heightened sensitivity to sound. When

his mentor Harry Horowitz racks up a medical debt, White earns cash to

pay it off by using his sensitive hearing to crack safes and becomes

embroiled with a criminal group
