We are excited to introduce a new daytime movie discussion group, Matinee Movies. This group gives more members the flexibility to enjoy thoughtful movie discussions in a daytime setting. We discuss the same 2 movies as Critics Corner. Watch both movies at your leisure prior to attending. At the meeting, we will review and rate each movie.

Friday evening discussion alternative: Critics' Corner meets monthly on Friday evenings at 7:00pm at a member's home. Please check the Encore website for the exact dates. Matinee Movies & Critics' Corner watch and critique the same movies so please join us at the group that best suits your schedule.

A 1946 American epic drama film. It depicts three United States servicemen returning from World War II era hardships and re-adjusting to societal changes and civilian life.

"Tuner"
A 2025 crime thriller that follows piano tuner Niki White with a
hearing condition that gives him heightened sensitivity to sound. When
his mentor Harry Horowitz racks up a medical debt, White earns cash to
pay it off by using his sensitive hearing to crack safes and becomes
embroiled with a criminal group
