Bob Keith, MS Health Ed., BS Physical Education, has over 30 years of experiences teaching health and coaching. He is a Certified National Academy of Sports Medicine Trainer and Nutrition Coach and also a Plant Based Certificate Program graduate of the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Bob blends decades of teaching experience with the evidence-based science of whole-foods, plant-based living. His goal is to help guide you with the same tools and strategies that transformed his own life.

This presentation provides a practical and evidence-informed introduction to the whole food, plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle and its role in improving overall health and wellness. Outlining the foundational principles and science-backed benefits of a plant-based approach, followed by Bob’s personal journey—sharing real-world insights, challenges, and successes experienced during his transition to a plant-based way of eating.

Participants will learn the core principles of a whole food, plant-based lifestyle, with special emphasis on the critical role of dietary fiber in gut health, cholesterol management, blood sugar control, and long-term disease prevention. The presentation will also address common myths surrounding plant-based diets, clarify misconceptions about protein and nutrients, and highlight foods best limited or avoided for optimal health.

Practical tips and strategies will be shared to help attendees confidently incorporate more plant-based foods into their daily routines, whether they are beginners or looking to deepen their commitment. Specific dietary approaches for lowering cholesterol and blood pressure through food choices will be discussed, along with accessible tools and trusted resources to support continued learning and success. The session concludes with a question-and-answer segment, providing an open forum for discussion, clarification, and personalized guidance.
