Tour Yale University Art Gallery & festive Chinese New Year Lunch

Meet: 10 AM at Irwin Park (depart promptly at 10:10 AM)
Lunch (11:00 -12:30): Chinese New Year Celebration at L.C. Chen, Fairfield, CT (the BEST Chinese restaurant in the Fairfield county)
Free Guided Art Tour (1:30–3:00 PM): Yale University Art Gallery, 1111 Chapel St, New Haven, CT
Return: Approx. 4 PM back to Irwin Park
Event Description:
Celebrate Chinese New Year with Encore friends on a day filled with art, food, and camaraderie!
We’ll start with a festive Chinese New Year lunch, followed by a guided tour of the Yale University Art Gallery, one of the country’s premier art museums. The collection spans centuries and cultures—from Van Gogh, Monet, and Picasso to ancient artifacts, decorative arts, and works from the Société Anonyme.
Special Theme: In honor of Chinese New Year, we suggest wearing red—the color of joy, luck, and love. (Optional)
Lunch Details
Enjoy a special prix fixe lunch ($20), which includes:
- One appetizer: egg roll, spring roll, or soup
- One main dish: chicken, beef, shrimp, noodle, or vegetarian
- Rice: white, brown, or fried
- One non-alcoholic drink: soda or tea
- Tax and tip included
- Cash bar available

Carpooling Details
Carpool from Irwin Park. Please arrive by 10 AM; we leave at 10:10 AM sharp. When registering, please indicate if you can drive or need a ride or you will drive yourself.
Carpool passengers: kindly bring $6 cash to contribute toward gas and parking (based on 4 people per car). Parking @ 150 York St, New Haven
