Afternoon Tea at Lady Mendl’s Tea Salon

About the Venue

Built in 1834, two landmark structures were meticulously transformed to recreate a bygone era of gracious living. Guests are treated to opulent five-course tea served in a whimsical parlor by a doting staff. Lady Mendl’s blends tradition with modern flair and is frequently used for fashion presentations, bridal showers, small weddings, and private arts events.

• Date & Time: Tuesday, December 9, 2025 · 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
• Menu: 5-course prix fixe afternoon tea
• Cost: $120 (includes sales tax & gratuity) - No refunds unless the waitlist is honored

• Dietary accommodations: Unable to serve gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan requests
• Accessibility: Guests must be able to walk up 10 steps; no elevator available

Transportation Options

• Drive yourself: Meet at the entrance by 12:15 PM

• Train: Departure time from New Canaan Train Station will be provided

• Carpool: Meet at Waveny Park (schedule to be provided prior to Dec. 9) - $25 per person (cash) to your driver – covers gas, parking fee & $9 congestion pricing fee.  

Note: The carpool option will be limited by the number of carpool driver volunteers, so please consider volunteering. Must be willing to take the train or drive yourself if there are not enough carpool drivers.
