Critics Corner

We will have our next Critics Corner meeting on Friday, March 28, at 7:00 PM, at Jill Ernst and Chuck Loesch's home.

The following two movies will be discussed and then rated:

 The Railway Man (2013) Colin Firth stars as a former British Army officer who sets out on a mission of revenge to confront the man who tormented him while a prisoner in a Japanese lab camp during WWII. Available free on Amazon Prime video and Peacock.

Small Things Like These (2024) A loving father, played by Cillian Murphy, finds disturbing secrets at a local convent, forcing him to confront the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic church. Available on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, YouTube and Fandango for $5.99

Event Details:

• Each attendee is asked to bring either an appetizer or dessert.
• A $5 contribution per person will be collected to cover the cost of drinks.

If you enjoy watching movies and love discussing them with fellow enthusiasts, Critics' Corner is for you! We gather at a member’s home, socialize over appetizers and drinks, and then engage in a lively discussion and rating of two movies that we’ve watched beforehand.
