Critics Corner

We will have our next Critics Corner meeting on Friday, June 7th, at 7:00 PM, at the home of Jane Arestia, 59 Dogwood Lane, New Canaan, CT 06840

The following movies will be discussed and then rated:

Killers of the Flower Moon – (Available on Amazon Prime, Google Play, and other pay channels) When oil is discovered in 1920s Oklahoma under Osage Nation land, the Osage people are murdered one by one - until the FBI steps in to unravel the mystery. Directed by Martin Scorsese. Starring Leonardo Di Caprio, Robert De Niro, and Lilly Gladstone.

Poor Things – (Available on Amazon Prime, Google Play, and other pay channels) An account of the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, and Willem Dafoe.
