Luncheon at Bocuse restaurant, and tour of the Roosevelt Mansion Museum
The world of culinary delight is practically on our doorstep! Join us Thursday, September 26 on a day-trip to the famous Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. There we will be treated to a gourmet lunch at Bocuse Restaurant, a strikingly contemporary French restaurant, where classic French cuisine is re-imagined through the lens of ultra-modern cooking techniques. We will view some of the grounds where world-famous chefs have trained.
The price for the day is $80 which includes the fixed menu at Bocuse, gratuity and tax; and the entrance fee (already paid) for the Roosevelt tour.
The three course menu is:
After lunch we will go a short distance down the road to tour the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt. It is an Historic Site as it was the birthplace, lifetime home and burial place of the former president. We have reserved a 1 and ¼ hour tour. Besides the beautiful home, the grounds are spectacular and look over the Hudson River. What a fabulous day we will have!
There will be carpooling. More details on that as we get closer. We will leave town at 9:30 and expect to return to New Canaan around 5:00. Please contact Mary Liz Lewis with any questions, or if you would like to be one of the drivers.
Please do not hesitate to sign up on the waitlist IF the website says registration is closed due to being full. Cancellations will be filled from the waitlist. Our reservations with the restaurant and the Mansion is a firm number.
NO refund for cancellations after September 22, unless we can fill the space.
Bon appetit!
