Tour and Tea

at the Mather Homestead

Come join fellow Encore members for an afternoon tea (scones and muffins) followed by a private tour of the Mather Homestead, built in 1778 during the Revolutionary War that was famously raided by Tories and was also the home of Stephen Tyng Mather, first Director of the National Park Service, from 1906 to 1930. See the Elizabeth W. Chilton Education Center, completed in 2020, that provides space for public education and events. Together we will enjoy this historical gem located in our backyard!
