Zoom Rosé Wine Tasting
“An Evening of Wine and Rosés”
To paraphrase the movie and song title from 1962, “The Days of Wine and Roses,” we are inviting you to join us for a Zoom evening rosé wine tasting with expert commentary on Thursday, September 17th at 7:00 p.m. Contrary to the song lyrics and what many people think about rosés, this wine can be enjoyed well past summer and pairs well with food.
We will be supplying three rosés with differing character and weight along with commentary and suggestions for food pairings. Encore members are encouraged to feel free to invite friends and family to join you at your “Zoom home wine tasting” to share in the fun that Encore has to offer.
Together our wine specialist for the evening and Harry’s Wine & Liquor have selected three food-friendly rosés from different regions in France that are well-priced. Rachel Halperin, a wine specialist with I Love Wining, looks forward to informing us about these wines and foods to go with them.
You will receive in your wine tasting package the three rosés, information about the wines, recommendations as to food pairings for the wine tasting and meals for each wine, and a discounted price sheet for ordering the wines from Harry’s. The price for the event is $44.
Deadline for signup (and payment) on the Encore website is Friday, September 11th.
Your package will be available to pick up starting Monday (the 14th) at Pamela Crum’s in New Canaan. You will be contacted with information about picking up your wine tasting package and the Zoom link via email prior to September 14th. For any questions, please contact Pamela Crum.
