Join us as we head to Storm King Art Center, a 500 acre open-air museum located one hour north in the lower Hudson Valley. It contains what is perhaps the largest collection of contemporary outdoor sculpture in the U.S. by some of the most acclaimed artists of our time.
This will be primarily a walking tour (there are a limited number of trams available) so please wear comfortable walking clothes and, most importantly, comfortable walking shoes!
We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Waveny parking lot and carpool. We plan on being back to Waveny by 3:30 p.m.
Admission to Storm King is $18.00 for adults; $15.00 for Seniors 65 and older. There are some casual a la carte lunch cafes on the grounds.
We will not be collecting any money in advance, but must hear from you with your commitment to join us by Friday, October 20th.
Please e-mail Robin Miner at rob2miner@aol.com if you’d like to go. Please include your cell phone number as well as whether you would like to be a driver or prefer to be a passenger. Please note that we encourage passengers to cover the expenses of gas and tolls for their driver.
